I know yesterday's blog sounded like it should have been the "wrap up" post, but bear with me. After today, I will get back to my old data storage antics.

I had a lot of shout-outs to friends of the firm yesterday, but I wanted to set aside some time today to brag about the friends I have INSIDE the firm.

Nothing that Legacy does would be possible without the awesome group of people that I have working for me. They are talented, dedicated, trustworthy, hardworking, creative and fun to be around. They all willingly wear many hats and go above and beyond to maximize the customer experience. They are all looking for ways to improve our products and our processes. They put up with my quirky demands and crazy ideas and they all take turns being my "handler"! They talk me off the ledge when I need it but they also know when to root me on to the finish line.

The new booth was quite an undertaking. A special thanks to Girl Friday for adding this to her already huge list and making it happen just like it needed to along with all the other planning and coordination that goes into HIMSS.

A special thanks to Renaissance Man and the Cowboy for getting the booth down to the GWCC and getting it set up last Friday, and then doing it all again in reverse yesterday. Your time is valuable, but know that I value you both.

Back at the ranch, gunslingers GA Slick and The Texan manned and managed a successful go live. Their combined 60 years of taming the Wild West gave me a huge peace of mind that we could actually have a go-live at the same time we were participating in HIMSS. They kept the big iron cranking and earning its keep.

Jose and Doctor M. were multi-tasking as usual; slinging code, handling support calls, and still finding time to put their Legacy shirts on over their super-hero emblems and walk the HIMSS floor, scouting partnerships and opportunities.

And then there’s Mr. Point Blank, who knows at least half the people in any public place you venture into with him. Just imagine, then, how many of the 30,000 people he knew at the conference. His wide network and solid reputation are invaluable to this company.

When you have a small company, it is absolutely imperative that the balls stay in the air all the time. I have surrounded myself with folks that not only keep the balls in the air, but also have found a way to put them in geo-synchronous orbit so that we can launch even more satellites.

I am hereby promoting everyone to Executive; Executive Office Manager, Executive Developers, Executive Project Managers, Executive Customer Service Directors, Executive Sales Associates…. Next year we will even have an Executive Conference Coordinator. Sorry, no pay raises with that, but I am getting quite the collection of restaurant menus that you can all take turns hanging in your offices…

Thanks again for all you do.
