Much better day in Hall C! Thanks, HIMSS for the free lunch to attract attendees.

All in all, still a good show for our 9th or 10th one – I can’t keep track! A USB stick full of leads and contacts and a bulging pocket of business cards. That is what it is all about!

Some shout-outs to some good friends…

Check out what is going on at Carecentric – www.carecentric.com - they have had a rough time of it but it seems like they are going to rise from the ashes better than ever. They have some committed leadership, hard-working employees, and loyal customers and I think they are going to come back strong in the home health, hospice, home medical equipment and home care pharmacy space.

Thanks to Becky Quammen of Quammen Health Care Consultants – www.quammengroup.com. Becky has been my mentor and friend since my early days at McKesson. Her consulting group is first class and their experience is second to none.

As always, a big thanks to Ford Phillips and the folks at Riverbend Marketing – www.riverbendmarketing.com. They are responsible for our continued momentum in getting the word out into the marketplace about our solution and where it fits in.

Some excitement brewing between us and the folks at Oracle - www.oracle.com Look for announcements soon!

We were very glad to get visitors from our new partner Dell – Perot. (SPOILER ALERT!) We are building quite a resume together of successful solutions for our mutual customers.

I enjoyed meeting and brainstorming with some ACS attendees. They all seem very positive about the new Xerox deal and are looking forward to some creative new positions in the marketplace. Affiliated is a data company, and at the end of the day, so are we. We here at Legacy will be keeping our ears to the ground about this one to see how the new venture progresses.

As always it was terrific spending time with all our friends at CTG – www.ctg.com - Thanks for the support!

McKesson’s booth was busy with Horizon demos, and as the "official" Archiving partner for these installs, we were glad to see it! Also glad to see old friends and new friends and wish them continued success with the Revenue Cycle marketing and sales activities. We are looking forward to building some incredible success stories as Horizon rolls out into the marketplace.

As always, thanks to the customers that paid us a visit – we value your support and trust. Thanks also to the attendees that stopped and learned about what we do. We hope we can nurture those relationships into opportunities.

A quick "hello" to our new friends at Cortado – we like their true "follow-me" printing capabilities.

Liked the zCover products – looks like a good addition to our new iPhones that we will be using by the end of the month as we get more serious about iPhone app development to support our internal security policies as well as our product suite (more spoilers!).

Thanks to SUNQUEST – I don’t know anyone there but we were absolutely jammed about their green ties so they gave us an inside track on how we might sport Legacy green and logoed ties in Orlando.

We have to say something about Epic – their booth, as always, is the coolest by far. Just so comfy. And terrific art. We enjoyed getting to know people in the booth even if Epic is a little stand-offish about "business partners". We get it. Our track record of cleaning up legacy systems behind successful Epic installs speaks for itself, and in the end, that is what will get noticed.

We got to give our new booth a good dry run -- credit goes to Exhibits South -- www.exhibitssouth.com for taking our design concept and making it a reality. As I said before, we received tons of compliments. Does HIMSS ever consider giving design awards to booths in the different size categories? That would be fun…

We have a few slight modifications in mind for Orlando and already have some good give-aways in mind.

Thanks to anyone I forgot to mention, and come back to the blog and website often for updates and official announcements. As you can guess from the spoilers above, we have quite a few in the works!
