Happy 2010! Or 2K10. Or Two-thousand Ten. Or Twenty-Ten. Whatever you want to call it! It is amazingly the topic of TONS of blogs. I think some people have too much time on their hands.

Here at Legacy, that is definitely not the case. I want to apologize for our sporadic blog posts – I know the number one rule of blogs is to update the content frequently (not to mention with interesting material). The good news for us (but bad for our blog) is that we have been super busy this last quarter, bringing in new clients, upgrading and taking care of existing ones, forging new partnerships, and becoming the #1 active archiver of legacy system data in the industry.

So the New Year is a chance to set goals and resolve to better our world and ourselves. Kind of trite, but any excuse to re-affirm your strategy, make course corrections, and continuously improve is a good thing. I am going to start by making sure this blog gets updated at least once per week. As we move through projects, have customer experiences, find meaningful examples that we think would help even one healthcare entity, we will post it.

This company was founded based on a simple need – that there were healthcare enterprises out there that were running old, antiquated, non-supported, at-risk applications just to get to, report on, manage, and possibly continue to update or follow up old data. Converting data to its replacement application costs time and money. Mapping it and moving it to a stand-alone, single-purpose archiving application is just not strategically sound. Keeping the box running is risky. I have blogged on all this before. Point is, we are going to use the New Year to re-affirm our message and our position in the marketplace. We are going to emphasize our strengths and advantages over our competition. We are going to share our vision and our culture with the market so each and every customer knows what they are getting for a very fair price. Our honesty and hard work is the hallmark of our success; we are going to share that with everyone and anyone that is willing to listen.

So check back once per week – maybe even more – as we try to exceed expectations in every sense – starting here!

Happy New Year.

Twenty ten, hands down. :)

It’s tough for almost any industry to stay current with technology, especially larger corporations in those industries. A lot of people have the mentality of “if it’s not broke don’t fix it”, but they don’t realize that at some point they won’t be able to fix it if they keep waiting.

Looking forward to your future articles!
